Gary Bement will present a lecture entitled “Strategies for Workers’ Compensation Hearings” for the National Business Institute on July 21, 2015 in Fairview Heights, IL.
Since the Workers’ Compensation law changed in 2011, the State is now boasting a significant savings to Illinois businesses. There was nearly a 20% drop in lost costs since 2011. This drop was the largest in the country during that time period. For the same time, reports of injuries are 66% lower than they were in 1990. There has also been a drop in the number of cases filed. While the business community is happy, this means less injured workers are being paid, and those that are paid are getting less. If you get hurt at work, file your claim.
Gary Bement recently attended the Advanced Workers’ Compensation seminar sponsored by the Illinois State Bar Association.
